Expert Advice

Knowledge comes with time and experience.  We’ve got plenty of both…

Core Trench

Acts as a lock for new fill and a seal to hold water.

Overflow Pipe

A pipe installed to prevent an overflow in the event of an abundance of rain, melting snow, etc.

Emergency Spillway

A structure used to provide the release of excess water to protect the dam or levee.  The spillway is shaped as a dip in the levee itself, ancomes into effect once the overflow pipe has become overwhelmed.

Silt Basin

For ponds with a high amount of runoff, silt basins are small secondary ponds constructed to intercept runoff.  This helps keep the main pond in pristine condition.
